titleOfInvention REAGENT FOR AN IMMUNOCHEMICAL MEASUREMENT
abstract The immunochemical reagents have a carrier comprising a styrene/divinylbenzene (S/DVB) copolymer latex, a hydroxylated or carboxylated S/DVB copolymer latex, or a styrene/methacrylate copolymer latex. The particle size of the carrier is pref. 0.1-1.0 (esp. 0.3) mu. Suitable latices are commercially available (e.g. "Estapor" products). The reagents, comprising an antigen or antibody adsorbed on the carrier, retain a constant sensitivity and specificity for long periods (e.g. 12-18 months).
