titleOfInvention | DEVICE FOR TREATING PERIODONTOPATHIES BY IONOPHORESIS |
abstract | New device for ionophoretic treatment of paradontopathies comprises a cap, U-shaped in cross-section, which fits over the area of jaw to be treated and which is constructed of an electrically non-conducting material. The opposing inner surfaces of the arms of the device have a rail of electrically conducting material extending lengthwise along the respective arm, each rail being provided with a terminal for connection to a source of electrical current. Used for ionophoretic percutaneous administrating medicaments for the treatment of parodontal disease. The cap is advantageously of plastics (i.e. polymeric) material, while the conducting rails, located on opposing sides of the internal U-shaped cross-section of the cap, are pref. of silver polymerised into the cap. |
