Reducible ink consists of solvents, dyestuffs and other additives. It contains 60-80 (wt.) pts. water and 0.5-50 pts. glycol (ether), 5-20 pts. reducible dyestuff (I) and 0.5-3 pts. surfactant as wetting agent. Small corrections can be made on clear plastics films (e.g. cellulose acetate, polyester, polycarbonate, PVC, polystyrene etc.) by reducing (I) to the leuco state, e.g. using Na2SO3, Na2S2O3 etc., rather than with an eraser, which tends to mark the film. |
