abstract The vacuum switch contact consists of a cup-shaped support with obliquely slotted wall, and of a non-slotted contact ring on the contact support wall. The contact ring consists of a metal matrix soaked with a metal. The whole contact support wall (3) consists of the contact ring (2) soaking metal soldered to the support bottom (4). The axial segment surfaces (6) produced by the support wall (3) slotting do not overlap with surfaces (7) of the same segments (8) facing the contact ring (2). The contact ring is made of a chrome-copper matrix and the contact carrier is made of copper.
