Thioenol ethers of formula (I) are new: In (I), R1 is H, 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl or alkynyl, 7-9C phenyl-alkyl, or phenyl opt. substd. 1-3 times by halogen, NO2, CF3 and/or or CN, R2 and R3 are each NO2, CN R5CO or R5SO2 (not both CN), or R2CR3 is a gp. of formula (A)-(E); R4 is (a) 1-18C alkyl opt. substd. by halo, OH, mono-, di- or trihalophenyl or by a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic gp. contg. 1-2 heteroatoms selected from S, O and N; (b) 2-8C alkenyl or naphthyl; (c) phenyl opt. substd. 1-3 times by halogen, CN, NO2 2-4C alkoxy, 1-4C alkylthio and/or CF3; (d) (CH2)nCOOR7, where R7 = H or 1-18C alkyl and n = 1 or 2, or (e) CH2CH2SH or CH(Me)CH2SH. R5 is (a) amino opt. substd. by alkyl, phenyl or alkyl-phenyl; (b) 1-5C alkyl opt. substd. by halogen or R6S, where R6 is 1-8C alkyl opt. substd. by phenyl or a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic gp. contg. 1 or 2 heteroatoms selected from S, O or N, R6 is phenyl opt. substd. 1 or 2 times by halogen, NO2, CF3 and/or CN; (c) 2-8C alkenyl or alkynyl; (d) phenyl opt. substd. 1 or 2 times by halogen, NO2, CN, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C alkylthio and/or 1-4C alkyl; or (e) 1-8C alkoxy. (I) are fungicides and bactericides esp. useful for plant protection. They are active, e.g., against Plasmopara, Venturia, Caldosporium, Cercospora, Puccinia, Erysiphe, Corynebacterium and Xanthomonas sepp. |
