abstract The internal prosthesis is designed as a hip-bone cap, having a mounting face with protrusions secured in place by a thin coating of cement. The surfaces of the protrusions (5) are at right angles to the mounting face (4). The protrusion width in any direction can be no more than five times the height, and their surfaces can be free of sharp corners. They can be spherical, and their height and one or more of their transverse dimensions can be between 0.4 and 2 mm. Between them there can be spaces left free, forming a net pattern.
