A jointing compsn. or mortar contains (a) 20-50 (25-40) wt.% of white cement, (b) 80-50 (75-60) wt% of finely ground and/or finely particulate inert materials and/or fillers, and w.r.t. 100 pts. wt. of (a)+(b), (c), 0.01-6 (0.1-1) wt% of a water-sol. or water-dispersible cellulose deriv. or cellulose ether and/or >=1 synthetic material or resin. Additionally, the compsn. contains, w.r.t. 100 pts. wt. of (a)+(b)+(c) as dry matter, (d) 2-20 (6-15) wt% of a dye mixt. consisting of (A) 1-80 (3-77) wt.% of >=1 water-insol., alkali-resistant inorganic and/or organic dye (B) 98-99-15 (96.9-20) wt% of an aq. dispersion of a synthetic resin with =55 (25-50) wt% solids, and pref. resistant to electrolytes or alkali, and (C) 0.01-5 (0.1-3) wt.% (calculated as solids) of >=1 wetting agent and/or auxiliary for dispersing or distributing the dye. Claimed cpds. (C) are hydroxy (m)ethylcellulose, methylcellulose, and carboxymethylhydroxyethylcellulose. Claimed resin are poly(meth)acrylates, poly-vinyl propionate or acetate, PVC and mixts. or copolymers from these monomers. The uncolored compsn can be stored separately from the dye mixt. Reproducible colour can be obtd. Formation of cracks is lessened and bonding along the sides of the joint is improved. |
