abstract |
New textile detergent compsn. contains (a) >=1 anionic, nonionic and/or zwitter-ionic surfactant (A) and (b) a polyamide (B) derived from a dicarboxylic acid having formula HOOC-X-COOH (I) (where X is a polymethylene chain contg. 2-14 (2-8) chain members opt. interrupted by oxy, imino or 1-3C alkyl-imino gps.) and a polyalkenoxy-bis(alkylamine) having formula H2N-Y-(OR)m-O-Y-NH2 (II) (where R is -C2H4- or -C3H6-; Y is - (C2H4-, -C3H6- or -(CH2)3- and m is 1-30 esp. 2-10). Wt. ratio (A):(B) is 50:1 to 2:1 esp. 30:1 to 2:1. The detergent compsn. can be used with cold water. (A) and (B) act synergetically in increasing washing power. In an example, a polyamide component was prepd. from 1 mol. succinic acid and 1 mol polyglycoldiamine, derived from a polypropylene glycol having mol. wt. 420. |
