METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING LEAKS IN WATER PIPES LAYING IN THE GROUND |
abstract |
The measuring line used in the leak detection process contains a meter. The pressure in the measuring line or the water flowing through the line per unit of time is recorded over a longish period. The instrument for making the measurements can be accommodated in a motor vehicle. To carry out the measuring operation, all the slide valves in the area concerned are closed. Lines are carried to the hydrants (3', 3", 3"'). Water is now conveyed through the measuring line (100) and is drained off through the measuring line (100"). The water flow is measured through both lines. |
