abstract The substance is composed of europium-activated yttrium acid sulphide (europium activation amt. of 0.04-0.066 g. atom per mol. yttrium acid sulphide) and red pigment particles of cadmium sulphoselenide adhered to the surface in an amt. of 0.1-2 wt. % of the fluorescent substance. Pref. the fluorescent substance has av. particles size 3-15 mu and the pigment particle have av. particle size 0.1-1 mu. The substance has decreased reflectance for external light while showing improved brightness and good colour tone.
