abstract In parent patent, flame-resistant hose used for conveyance of hot air comprises an inner ply, an outer ply, and a resinous intermediate ply which may have an embedded helical wire reinforcement. Both the inner and outer plies are made, by winding, from glass-fibre textile bands, their winding seams and the bands themselves being bonded together by the intermediate ply which is composed of a polyurethane. The glass-fibre textile is designed as a marrow-mesh diffusion barrier. In this addn., the intermediate ply is now 20-40/10-20 polyurethane/PVC or PVAc mixt. which is more easily processable than polyurethane alone.
