abstract The wide opening angle hinge has two scissor type crossing arms whose ends are connected by pivots to a supporting wall and a door. The hinge mechanism has a cam and compression spring, the closing turning moment acting directly on the longer lever arm which is pivoted on the door. The sliding element on the cam consists of sleeve part resting on the cam surface. The swivelling lever forming housing enables this sleeve part to slide axially. The compression spring is accommodated in a central opening.
