abstract |
A portable display unit suitable for reproducing the waveform output of an electro-cardiograph is provided by a matrix of electro-luminescent cells. The display table (1) is provided by an electro-luminescent phospher sheet of some 10 to 50 micron thickness. The sheet is sandwiched between two glass sheets and photo lithographic etching reduces the phospher sheet to a matrix of 128 x 256 cells. Six hybrid integrated circuit groups (2a-2f) provide the necessary drive for the matrix parts via gold conductor strips on the rear surface. An analogue waveform is digitised and stored in buffers to provide a digital address for the display. |
