titleOfInvention | METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CONTINUOUS STRIPS |
abstract | The continuous length of printed sheets (65a, b) is produced by first registering separate printed sheets, then applying a perforation (12) along the longitudinal sides, where-upon the sheets are aligned with the aid of the perforation and interconnected by lateral heat welding (68). Before punching the perforation, the individual sheets are registered one after the other, independently from the sides, in a first operation with the aid of edge markings (39-41) parallel to the printed matter (14a) which are detected photoelectrically. The perforated sheets are joined together without overlap in a later operation. The sheets may be joined by a lateral heat-welded strip (68). |
