titleOfInvention | DEVELOPMENT COMPOSITION FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC, LIGHT-SENSITIVE ELEMENTS OF THE LITHO ART |
abstract | Developer contains a developer of the dihydroxybenzene type and a 2-imidazolidone cpd. (I) of the formula (in which R is H or alkyl. R1-4 independently are H, OH, COOH, aryl, OOH, ureido, carboxyacyl, alkylamino or (substd.) alkyl). The developer has excellent stability and give good images, suitable for graphic work. In an example, exposed lithographic film was developed with a bisulphite-hydroquinone soln. opt. contg. 1.0 g/12-imidazolidone (Ia), 2 g/l urea or 1 g/l ascorbic acid. The dot quality was good with no additive or (Ia), otherwise poor. The speed (initially 100) fell to 30 with no additive, 59 with urea, 70 with ascorbic acid and only 97 with (Ia) after 5 min. aeration. |
