abstract | The thermal treatment plant is used for wet materials which cannot be pumped. It is used esp. for magnesium carbonate treatment with hot gases. Hot gases are directed by counterflow to material movement through furnace into preliminary heat treatment chamber. The preliminary treatment chamber has riser channel through which the materials are carried into upper part of the preliminary treatment chamber by floating. Hot gases are drawn away by waste gas ducting connected to middle part of the preliminary treatment chamber. This waste gas duct is connected to cyclone separator and fan. Upper part of the furnace is used as preliminary treatment chamber and lower part is provided with burners. This preliminary treatment chamber can be connected downstream of a rotating furnace. |
