abstract | The ligand is a drug, an amino acid polypeptide or protein a steroid, intamin A, D, E or K, an antibiotic, a nucleic acid, a polynucleotide, a nucleoside, a saccharide, serotonin, spermine, galactose, phenyltartaric acid, pesticide fungicide or nematocide, a cell or cell extract, or a virus or virus particle. The chemiluminescent cpd. is tetrakis(dimethylamino) ethylene, luciferin, lucigenin, oxalyl chloride or a 2,3-dihydrophthalazine-1,4-dione of formula (I) (where R is NH2, NHMe, NHEt, NHCH2-Ph, NHCOCH2Cl, NHCOCH2NH2NHCOCH -2NHNH2, Nme2 Net2 or N(CH2Ph)2). The conjugates can be used as chemiluminescent-labeled antigens for the immunological determination of the corresp antigen (ligand) in body fluids by the competitive binding method. Antigen concns. as low as 5-25 ng/cm3 can be determined. In an example, an insulin-luminol conjugate is used to determine the insulin content of blood plasma. |
