Prepn. of aq. polyisocyanate emulsions involves dispersing or emulsifying the polyisocyanates in water in the presence of an emulsifier based on a polyglycol of molecular wt. 4,000-20,000, or a polyvinyl alcohol of molecular wt. 5,000-100,000. The polyisocyanate is pref. the phosgenated reaction product of aniline and formaldehyde. The emulsion can also be prepd. in the additional presence of a polypeptide. The emulsions are used for the glueing together of wood chip panels. |
