The electro. optical sounding device with light conducting glass fibres, a depth measurement device, and electronic evaluation for measuring the position of tissue boundary layers in flesh is partic. used for measurement of fat/meat boundaries in slaughtered animals. The device is deisgned for simplified operation and interpretation and to avoid the problems associated with rectangular cross-section operating surfaces of previous probes. The device has a lance type or needle shape measurement probe with a reflection sensing device compled to an electronic evaluation air out in a fibre-optic bundles. |
