An installation for the direct exploitation of solar energy in arid and semi-arid zones, operating with a high degree of efficiency, has long parabolic reflectors which are focussed automatically on to a tube thorugh which heat conveying oil passes. In line, downstream from the heating tube, heat absorbing devices are arranged, e.g. a cooking plate, baking oven, refrigerator and water heater. In the absence of the sun the circuit can be maintained by a combustion point. Solar cells provide current for the reflector of using mechanism, and thre is a stand-by accumulator. |
