Liq. dish washign concentrates which can be used in washing up machines comprise (a) 10-25 wt. % P free organic complex-forming agents, (b) 0.5-2.5 wt.%, esp. 0.8-1.9 wt.% of a low foaming nonionic surfactant consisting of a condensn. prod. of 1 mol. of an aliphatic alcohol, alkylamine, fatty acid amide, fatty acid alkanolamine or alkyl-phenol with 3-60 mols ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO), or an EO/PO block copolymer, in which the end gps. are opt. blocked by acetylisation, or mixts. of these; (c) 5-20 wt.% of hydrotrope consisting of Na or K cumene sulphonate, (d) 5-20 wt.% alkylolamides and (e) opt =2 wt.% corrsio inhibitor. The compsns. give excellent cleaning of crockery, esp. glassware, and leave no deposits on drying. the use of P-free complexing agents is advantageous on ecological grounds. The compsns. are less alkaline than known glass washing agents, and are harmless to the skin. They are stable on storage at 0-40 degrees C, and do not foam in water at 40-70 degrees C. |
