| abstract | The measuring and scribing equipment has a flat top, over which the foot of an instrument slides. From the foot there extends a vertical column, up and down which a slide works, equipped with a transverse arm for the measuring or marking tool. The column slides in a set horizontal direction, having a guide portion working with mating surfaces on the table, and hinges on the foot out of engagement with these surfaces. The surfaces are formed on a guide rail (18) fixed to the table (10), and the guide portion (20) has brackets (22) extending below the table top, hinging on the foot (11) out of the engaged position. The guide rail can have a rib (19) parallel to the table edge, with the guide surface along its sides. Rollers on the guide portion run against these surfaces. |
