titleOfInvention KERATOPROTHESIS
abstract The eye prosthesis is a curved disc (10) to replace the corner with a ring (12) of finely porous carbon around the periphery. This is intended to ensure attachment of the disc to the eye. It can form part of the iris of the eye. The outer edge can also include a ring of holes (14) to assist attachment. The carbon layer may be vitreous carbon.
