titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE PROCESSING OF FOREIGN AND POLLUTANT WATER
abstract Water contaminated by foreign and harmful substances is processed by (1) adding, at pH 7, basic cpds. forming water-insoluble salts and removing the ppte. formed as an accurately defined fraction; (2) adding, at pH >7, further basic cpds. forming water-insoluble salts and separating the pptes. as an undefined fraction, contg. foreign bodies and contaminants, and (3) adding acids or acid salts, to neutral pH, to convert excess basic cpds. to a water-insoluble state and removing them. The process can be used for purifying water from electroplating works and pickling plants. Large or small water quantities can be processed. Pure water is obtd., which can be re-used immediately. Cpds. can be recovered for re-use.
