Phenylacetic acid derivs. of formula (I) are new. In the formula, n is 1-3; R1 is halogen, CF3, NO2 or amino; R2 and R3 are each H or lower alkyl, or together are ethylene; X1 is H2 or O; and Y1 is CN, CONHOH, CONH2, 5-tetrazolyl or COOH (I) are opt. in the form of a salt, ester or amide with a physiologically acceptable base, alcohol or amine). (I) are pharmacologically active cpds. or intermediates for these. They are esp. used as systemic antiinflammatory agents with good gastric compatibility and resorbability low toxicity-rapid onset of action and high and lasting activity. They can be used for treating polyarthritis, neurodermites, bronchial asthma, hay fever etc. Dose is e.g. 1-250 mg orally. |
