abstract | The foot rehabilitation appts. helps restore the foot to its normal function after an injury, and where otherwise it might remain pointed permanently downwards. It comprises a guide section secured to or aligned with the shin, and equipped with a support plate so arranged that under load the foot slides forward on it, bending it upwards at the ankle in the process. It can have a rigid sleeve fixed to the shin, with guides for sliding rails securing a support plate either horizontally or tilted slightly forward. The coefficient of friction of this plate is small in relation to the shoe on the foot. |
