titleOfInvention | PHOTOGRAPHIC REVERSAL WITHOUT A SECOND EXPOSURE |
abstract | In a photographic reversal process involving black and white development of selectively exposed material with Ag halide (AgX) emulsion(s), fogging of the remaining AgX and colour development of the fogged material, cyanoborohydrides (I) are used as foggants. Processing baths contg. (I) are stable, there is no detrimental effect on the definition and good max. colour densities are obtd. (I) can be used during or before colour development, in an amt. of 0.05-5 g./l. In an example, exposed colour reversal film was processed as usual with (a) second exposure of (b) no second exposure and treatment with a soln. contg. 0.2 g./l. NaCN.BH3 between first and second development. The max. densities were yellow (a) 3.28, (b) 3,17, magenta (a) 3.94, (b) 3.85, cyan (a) 3.20, (b) 3.25. |
