titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BASIC OXAZINE DYES
abstract Prepn. of basic oxazine dyes by the known process of condensn. of salts of 4-nitroso 3-alkoxy arylamines with phenols in aq. -organic solvent and pption. with urea or thiourea, in which a divalent alcohol is added before condensn. or before pptn., organic solvent and water distilled off, and pption. carried out in organic solvent. Water is removed from the reaction mixt. by a simple safe process without addn. of large amts. of drying agent. The added alcohol keep the dye in a stirrable condition during removal of water.
