abstract | An impermeable, chemically and thermally resisted antistatic protective lining (internal or external) for containers used in the conveying and storing of goods in solid, liquid or gaseous form and over a wide range of temps. and conditions, comprises a composite textile structure. This consists of a sheet (b) of aromatic polyamides, afluorine-contg. layer or sheet (a) and a foam layer (c), all bonded together to form a flexible composite system, at least one of these components possessing anti-static properties. The covering layer (a) may be constituted of several different layers. At least one of the sheets (b) is of aramides. For internal and/or external linign of containers, esp. containers on vehicles or in ships. Use in the transportation and storage of powdery, granular, aggressive, solid, liquor or gaseous substances including liquefied gases at very low temps. High tearing strength and low strain is combined with low density. The material is vibration and shock resitant, even at very low or high temps. It is chemically resistant. The anti-static properties prevent dangerous spark prodn. |
