titleOfInvention DOSAGE-CONTROLLED AND REVOLVER-FIRED THERMONUCLEAR REACTOR
abstract Parent patent describes a dose-regulated and revolver-fired thermonuclear reactor which can be operated on the boiling water principle for the generation of electrical energy. In this addn. a system consisting of upper and lower water boxes and interconnecting tube bundles is operated with the upper water box as an evaporator for steam generation; the line leading from the top of the boiler is conducted direct to the steam turbine or other consumer plant. Pref. the lower zone constitutes a firing or economiser zone of massive construction and the zone above it a heating zone for sec. water. This may be surmounted by a superheated zone in which an upward flow of prim. water and helium flows around the steam pipes. A high heat transfer coefficient and resultant high degree of steam superheat is attained as with oil-fired boilers; this enables the drawing-off of helium-steam mixture or helium recovery in the rectification unit to be carried out only to the extent required by the water level control of the primary part as made up by the pump.
