titleOfInvention | PROCESS AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE FORMATION OF GAS-EFFECTED TREATMENT OF FUELS CONTAINING HYDROCARBONS IN THE GAS WHICH, WHEN COOLED BELOW THEIR DEW POINT, CONDENSE TO TAR-LIKE PRECIPITATION |
abstract | A process for handling combustible materials generating gases, the hydrocarbon contents of which condense as tarry deposits when they are cooled below their dew point, ensures that sufficient oxygen is provided to burn completely the entire content of combustible matter. The combustible is transferred to a treatment chamber in the form of blocks, logs, bales, bundles, sheafs, otherwise stacked loose material, or pressings and pellets, etc and heated to degasify and distill it while introducing some oxygen to bring about a partial combustion. The gas fractions obtd. are throughtly mixed and sepd. from the stored combustible, in a stream to which the necessary oxygen for complete combustion is supplied. Makes it possible to exploit fully and economically the heat energy resources available is waste materials such as straw, scrap timber, etc. |
