abstract A sheet of cellulose and/or artificial fibres, is claimed which do not melt under the conditions of pressing, where the sheet if formed from fibres 3-50 mm long and is not >20 mu thick, and has specific wt. 0.3-0.45 g/cc and surface wt. 40-150 g/m2, is used as a support sheet for base films contg. phenol-HCHO precondensates, opt. with urea-HCHO and/or melamine-HCHO precondensates, for covering the surface of asbestos-cement panels. The covering film does not become detached from the surface of the panel, even at normal humidity.
