DEVICE FOR CATALYTIC CLEANING OF EXHAUST GAS FROM COMBUSTION ENGINES |
abstract |
Device for the catalytic purification of the exhaust gases of i.c. engines or of industrial waste gases uses >=2 monolithic carrier catalysts in series in the direction of the exhaust gas glow. The carrier catalyst at the rear is given a higher content of active phase than the one in front. Arrangement prevents premature ageing of the catalyst. The life of the unit is longer because the deactivation of the rear catalyst proceeds at a much slower rate and to a much lesser extent. |
