abstract A device for the mfr. of graduated X-ray intensifying screen film, using a slot caster, features a casting head, above a casting roller, which has a lever arrangement that is supported outside its centre of gravity, so that it may be swivelled counter to the machine direction of a moving substrate. The lever arrangement is held in its starting position by means of a spring. A rotatable eccentric disc is adapted to roll, level with the casting head, over a buffer along the lever arrangement. Screen film is used esp. for X-ray examination of the spinal column.
