titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR PRODUCING OBJECTS FROM CONCRETE |
abstract | Concrete is allowed to set in contact with a shaped surface which is subsequently removed. The shaped surface consists of a crosslinked diorganopolysiloxane, which is combined with another organic polymer which is not anpolysiloxane. Used for prodn. of a series of identical objects from the same mould. It is already known to use flexible moulds, e.g. PVC plastisol, polyurethane or silicone rubber, for this purpose. The invention has the advantages of considerably less labour and equipment requirements, moulds which are more resistant to basic materials and easier removal of the moulded objects. The use of parting agents, which can contaminate the concrete surface, is unnecessary. The diarganopolysiloxane (I) combinations with other polymers are block or graft copolymers usually described as modified organopolysiloxanes. They comprise blocks or segments of the 2 components. Linkage is by means of SiC- SiC- or SiOC gps. The non-silicone component can be any poly addn. of polycondensn. prod. e.g. vinyl polymer. |
