titleOfInvention DEVICE FOR SPREADING CELLS IN CELL SUSPENSIONS FOR MICROSCOPIC PREPARATIONS
abstract Spreading out of cells in cell dispersions or slides for microscopic preparations involves the use of two parallel glass plates or a porous plate. The cell dispersion is placed between the glass plates. After spontaneous sedimentation of cells, the supernatant dispersing agent is absorbed by blotting paper. The porous plate is made of plaster of Paris or clay with a film of agarose. The cell dispersion is placed on the film. The dispersion agent is removed by osmosis so that the cells remain in the film of agarose. The spreading-out device comprises a table (1), holding (13, 14, 7) and adjusting (6) means and a double roller (8).
