titleOfInvention | METAL HALOGEN LAMP AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING IT |
abstract | The metal halide lamp has a refractory, transparent, vacuum-tightly closed tube, with >=2 electrodes of refractory metal and a filling of rare gas, mercury, halogen and metals improving the spectral rendition. The tube contains, >=1 metal of Gp IIIa and/or IVa at least partly in the form of a halide cpd. In addition one of the metals of Gp Ib is enclosed in elemental condition. Rare earth metal halides and elemental gold are pref. included. Typically the mol. ratio of gold to rare earth metal is 10-1:1. The rare earth metal(s) may be added in the form of a gold alloy. |
