abstract The closure caps comprises (i) an inner chamber which can be closed off with a hood of elastic material having a concentric core and (ii) a closure element consisting of a bass plate provided with a concentric rod, the top of which has a recess for the reception of the cone. The outer edge of the base plate is adapted to fit into an annular groove on the inner wall of the closure cap. It is partic. used in biological test reactions, e.g. radio immunological and radiometric determination of hormones, etc. in trace quantities in body fluids, e.g. blood. The reagent to be added may be pptg. agent adsorption medium, complex former, etc. A claimed use is the delivery of a matered amt of ion exchange resin in the determination of blood thyroxin content.
