abstract | 2-Monosubstd. malonic acid diamide derivs. of the formula RCH(CONHR')2 (I) (where R is 1-4C alkyl, aryl or aralkyl and R' is an aromatic residue or a dialkylaminoalkyl gp.), e.g. 2-n-butyl-N,N'-bis(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-malonic acid diamide, are new cpds. (I) in which R' is aryl have slight anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity; (I; R' = Ph) also has slight effects on the nervous system and slight hypotensive activity. Cpds. (I) in which R' is dimethylaminopropyl have anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity comparable with that of marketed anti-inflammatory agents. The toxicity of all cpds. (I) is low. |
