titleOfInvention GLASS BRACKET FOR EYEGLASSES
abstract The frame for spectacles, has a grooved holder, preferably of metal, for the lenses, in which the lenses are securely held without a special mechanical screw or other fastening. The rear wall (6) of the groove (4) holding the edge of the lens (5) is removed over an angle of about 180 deg., and replaced by a sealing material (7) after insertion of the lens. The sealing material is elastic and exerts a cushioning effect. The sealing material may be a rapid hardening material which can be rendered plastic for removal such as a self-polymerising or cold polymerising resin.
