titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR PHOTOGRAPHICAL DEVELOPMENT AND PHOTOGRAPHICAL DEVELOPMENT SOLUTION FOR THIS |
abstract | Photographic development process comprises development of an exposed photographic material with an aq. alkaline soln., contg. a developer, a thiosulphate and a (water-soluble) bromide and/or iodide, followed by fixing. The soln. pref. contains 0.05-1 mole/l thiosulphate and 0.09-0.35 mole/l bromide or 0.001-0.05 mole/l iodide or (0.09-x) mole/l bromide and x mole/l iodide, x being 0.0.09 mole/l. The amt. of soln. used pref. is 5-15 ml/100 cm2 photographic film. Used for reversal development and esp. for processing black-and-white materials, e.g. black-and-white roll films or x-ray films. Only a small amt. of soln. is needed for the development of good quality images. These have markedly improved graininess and sharpness and are uniform in density, without the use of an automatic developer. The process can be used for the development of many types of photographic materials at the same time and is independent of temp. |
