titleOfInvention | SPECTRAL SENSITIVITY PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIAL |
abstract | Light sensitive photographic materials have a silver halide emulsion layer contg. a combination of a sensitisation dye and a phosphine metal complex cpd. of formula R1R2R3P m Me(X)p n (I) (in which R1-3 are each (cyclo)alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic gp. -SR4 or NR5R6; R4-6 are each (cyclo)alkyl aryl or heterocyclic gp. and R5 and R6 are H; Me is a metal atom of gps. IB IIB or VIII; X is a monovalent anion or one equiv. of a polyvalent anion; n and m = 1-4; and p = 1 or 2, depending on the valency of Me). The metal complexes give excellent sensitisation in the M-band and their effect is not diminished on storage in contact with other components in the emulsion such as colour formers and dyes. |
