abstract Monoazo dispersion dyes of formula nI): (in which A is H or 1-3C alkyl; B is H, 1-8C alkyl, cyclohexyl, benzyl or phenylethyl, all opt. substd. with OH or 1-4C alkoxy, or phenyl opt. substd. with Cl, methyl or methoxy; X is CN or carbamoyl; R2 is H, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy or Cl; R1 is as R2 or Br; R is COOH or its ester; or opt. substd. carbamoyl) are used for dyeing acrylonitrile polymers, polyamides, cellulose esters and esp. linear polyesters in yellow to orange shades, and give high colour strength and fastness to light and thermofixing.
