titleOfInvention PROCEDURE FOR DEGRADING AFLATOXIN IN FEED
abstract A method for the degradation of the aflatoxin content of feeding stuffs through the addn. of ammonia derivs. by adding the ammonium salts of CnH2n+1 COOH, (n = 1-3) ammonium bicarbonate, urea or a mixt of these is new. The max. aflatoxin content in feeding stuff is set at 50 ppn. (F.A.O). The ammonia derivs. used are non-toxic and are practically tasteless and odourless. They do not adversely affect the ingredients of the feeding stuff and the nitrogen content is increased. They do not prejudice further processing, e.g. milling to an oil cake, and are non-corrosive, so special containers are not required for the final prod.
