abstract | The inverting pneumatic binary output amplifier is for the switching of output pressure between two conditions, inverse to the input pressure conditions. The valve plate (44) is connected via a plunger (42) to a membrane (24) on the other side of the ventilation chamber (22) to form a control air chamber with a connection. A dividing wall (16) is positioned between the membrane (24) and wall (14), which divides ventilation- (22) and output pressure chamber (20). The additional wall forms an auxiliary ventilation chamber (28). The wall has a connection aperture (32) aligned with the other apertures (28, 30) all of which the plunger (42) passes through. The plunger carries an additional valve plate (40) which engages on the valve seat (38) when the membrane is loaded, before the valve plate (44) in the output pressure chamber (20) lifts off the valve seat (36) which faces the ventilation chamber. |
