titleOfInvention ELECTRIC DISCHARGE LAMP
abstract Water glass is used of fastening powdey materisl or small solid elements, such as getter or amalgam tablets in the production of the gas or metal vapour discharge lamps. Preferably a suspension of the powder is sodium and/or potassium water glass solution is used as the basic material for this process. The water glass solution hs typically a composition corresponding to the German pharmacopoeia, 6 with a density of 1.35 to 1.39. The water dilution ratio may be 1 : 15 to 1 : 10. The powdery material may consist of metal or metal compositions powders such as various getter materials or emitter substances for the electrode. The solid elements may be in the form of a ring, a platelet, or wire structure for various purposes.
