abstract Precipitant for process water from the cellulose industry is mfd. from raw materials (gaseous S cpds., acid) which are used in the cellulose industry. Calcium bisulphite soln. is aerated to precipitate calcium sulphate, causing the formation of sulphuric acid. This is then combined with iron oxide to form iron hydroxide which forms the precipitant.
