titleOfInvention | PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS FOR THE COLOR DIFFUSION TRANSFER PROCESS |
abstract | Photographic material for the dye diffusion transfer process has at least 2 colour image-forming units on a base, each unit consisting of a light-sensitive Ag halide emulsion and an associated material giving a colour image, at least one of these layers contg. cpd(s)(I) (in which R1, R2 and R3 are (pref. 1-18C) alkyl, (1-8C) alkoxy, opt. substd. aryl or aralkyl, halogen, CN, SH, arylthio, (1-8C) alkyl-thio, OH or H; pref. R1, R2 and R3 are OH). (I) can be present in the dye developer layer Ag halide emulsion, spacer coat and/or supercoat. (I) pref. is used as emulsified dispersion in an alkali-philic, hydrophobic solvent (II) of formula R5CO-NR4-CH2-CHX-COOH (in which X is H or Me; R4 and R5 are alkyl gps. contg. a total of 7-11C). (I) acts as auxiliary Ag halide developer, giving a transferred picture with good contrast and free from staining in the highlights. |
