abstract The system gives rapid delivery of the carbon dioxide gas used as the propellant without icing up of the regulating valve used. The charge is held in a tank and kept at the same pressure as the feed line. A bleed taken from the tank is led to a control valve where the tank pressure acts against a diaphragm and a spring loaded plunger to regulate the inlet of gas through the feed line. When required, the gas is discharged directly into the supply pipe. The tank refills automatically as its pressure drops.
