titleOfInvention CURING AGENTS FOR AMINOPLASTIC FOAM RESINS AND PROCESS FOR CURING AMINOPLASTIC FOAM RESINS
abstract A hardener for aminoplast pre-condensates contains sulphamic acid (I) as proton donor, opt. with an (in)organic acid with pH 1.6 in 0.5 molar aq. soln. A very fine-pore foam with closed skin is obtd. There is little shrinkage during prodn. of the foam. The foams are used as heat, cold or noise insulation, as components of laminates, and in plastoponics, e.g. in cultivating desert soils. The ground foams can also be used as adsorbent in pharmaceutical and cosmetic prepns.
